Who is Next Man Up?
Next Man Up LLC. (NMU) has been a pillar of the Central Jersey community providing promotional events to give back to our community. We have a heart felt desire to reach out and work with our communities, where we place a focus on at-risk/disadvantaged youth Simply put, we are here to empower at-risk male youth toward lifelong personal growth, and to create in these youth a sincere belief in themselves through open, straightforward counseling, mentoring, and life-skills.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide a safe haven for at-risk youth of the Central Jersey area(s) to spend time that would otherwise be wasted. We will uphold the highest of standards and be a positive, influencing force in the lives of these young men through education, life skills, and sports. We will be honorable in all of our intentions and will make decisions with integrity. We will never forget our goal which is to have a positive impact on the disadvantaged youth of today in order to make the world a better world tomorrow by inspiring them to achieve.
Building Diversity
Next Man Up LLC, understands the importance of youth and families standing hand in hand with others from different ethnic backgrounds and/or cultures. By breaking down the barriers of racial prejudice, our focus is to have each youth or family to become “COLORBLIND”. No prejudice means UNITY, TOGETHERNESS, PARTNERSHIP, and a better world that we live in.
Community
We are currently forming partnerships with other positive organizations such as: school systems, sports organizations, recreation departments, churches, local businesses, as well as local government agencies. It truly takes a community to raise a child, and by building partnerships we become a community! Next Man Up mentor’s young men between ages 8 to 22. We focus on guiding our young men in any way we can. We are committed to providing our time, words of encouragement, and financial support.
In addition we have mobilized with the help of other organizations to help our Caribbean family hit by the storm in 2017. Providing financial support, donating batteries, soap, hand sanitizers etc.
We pride ourselves in being pillars in our perspective communities. We frequently volunteer our resources to sponsor Father Son brunches and Father Daughter dances. In addition, we provide haircuts, clothing and coats to shelters in New Brunswick, Edison and Plainfield as well as a annual book bag ,sock and cereal drives.
